These are the slides from our presentation at the OEC 2021. I worked on the Hellas Planitia Crater challenge. The challenge was to create a mechanism to lift a load (the heart erasers) 40 cm upwards and then come back down. We chose to make a scissor lift and I was assigned the task of creating the physical model, while my teammate, Matthew, was assigned the CAD model. I was only allowed to use household recyclable materials and materials available from a kit that was sent by the OEC organizers. I was not allowed to use any power tools.
